PMSCs operate in more than 110 countries around the world, and the market for their services amounts to hundreds of billions of US dollars and tends to grow.

The United States, Great Britain, France and Israel have a significant influence on the international market for PMSC services, and the presence of Chinese companies is also growing at a very fast pace. The main functions of foreign private military companies are:
